           KIDS YOGA WITH MRS. PECKENPAUGH Yoga for children is different for adults. This class will not be a scaled down adult yoga class-rather children will have fun exploring yoga poses and practices through themed activites designed to physically and mentally engage the whole child. Class will begin with a tune-in time with breathing exercises. We'll then warm up to physically prepare the body for class, then practice standing, sitting and balancing yoga poses. Games, creative movement and projects followed by a final resting pose will leave your child feeling refreshed and joyful. Kids Yoga at Natural Balance provides a non-competitive environment for children to grow and develop both physically and mentally.

What is Alignment & Foundation Yoga? 
  • ALIGNMENT & FLOW AND FOUNDATION  encompasses mindful movement to stretch and strengthen the body. Postures (asanas) are practiced to bring the body into a state of optimal wellness, benefiting the musculoskeletal system, but also nervous, digestive, immune and endocrine systems. Yoga tones these areas of the body to offer a greater ability to handle stress and increase in physical vitality. Breathing exercises are included as well as deep relaxation and meditation to bring inner stability and peace of mind. Classes at Natural Balance are also geared to provide a strong foundation practice that the student can take with them throughout the rest of their lives, improving the ability to manage stress and improve competence in other areas of living.
Level 1
  • GENTLE YOGA A moderately paced class of stretching, breathing, strengthening and relaxation designed for beginners, those with limited mobility, injuries, health issues or those that prefer a slower paced, relaxing class.
  • BEGINNING YOGA In this class we'll cover the basics of yoga-poses, breathing, mindfulness practices and more. No experience is necessary to participate in this class. All levels and abilities are welcome.
  • MEN'S YOGA Guys learn the basics of stretching, strengthening, and increasing your stamina with this straightforward no woo approach to yoga practice. Absolutely no experience necessary. All levels welcome.
  • New Class! YOGA BALANCE In this Level 1 class we'll practice balancing in the body using yoga poses, basic movements and isometric strengthening exercises to enhance our capabilities and to move better throughout our daily lives.
Level 1+
  • CHAIR + offers those with injuries or limitations the benefits of a full yoga practice while using the safety and stability of the chair. The Chair plus class is for students who wish to go a step further using the chair in their practice. This is an intermediate level of practice.
Level 2
  • WARM YIN YOGA is the practice of turning inward, holding poses up to 5 minutes and often on the floor, releasing the deep connective tissues in the body. Yin practice puts healthy stress on the joints, making for easier more fluid movement outside of class. A quiet, relaxing class offering time to let go and be still, a much needed habit in today's stressful world.
Level 2+
  • POWERFUL FLOW offers continuous movement in a mindful, slow vinyasa, aligned practice. Suitable for those who like a good workout and like to challenge their current practice. Good for developing strength and conditioning in your practice. Recommended for those who have been consistently practicing for at least 6 months.

Reiki & Reflexology!
The ancient art of multidimensional healing.
Laura is a Level 3 Reiki Master and has been practicing Reiki since 2009 & Certified Reflexology practitioner since Fall 2018. 
Reflexology is the art of working the reflexes on the feet or hands to stimulate healing throughout the body.
Both Reiki and Reflexology bring a physical sense of peace and well being to the clients

Reiki Healing Sessions are $60 and run from 45 minutes to an hour, Reflexology is $50 for an hour session.
